Summer Fun!

Well... not really much fun quite yet. I just got back from two and a half weeks at Camp Ripley. I finished Phase 1 of the Officer Candidate program for the National Guard. Its a relatively intense leadership training program. I did lots of physical training. We had lots of classes ranging from Land Navigation to Equal Opportunity. All in all it was an excellent experience. Now I'm in Phase 2 where I will be training at monthly weekend drills for about 12 months. I'll be providing a link to a website that has pictures and videos of that training soon.

Tomorrow I will be moving into a house in St. Paul with Julia. The other day I was thinking about everything that has happened over the past two years. I realized that I've been "home" for only about 2 months in that amount of time. I'm very excited to finally settle down for a little while (although I've got a few things planned on the side). I've got a climbing trip planned for Mt. Rainier in August and I'll be starting school at the University of Minnesota in September. I'm looking forward to taking care of the remaining classes that I need to get into PA school and continue learning spanish.

I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July!
