A Little More Ice

Joe, Matt and I decided to take a trip up to Sandstone today to check out some ice there. The city has embraced climbers and we got a great vibe from everyone. The ice was awesome. Much taller than anything in the metro area.

Winter Wonderlaa... Where's the Snow?

Last semester went great for me. Organic chemistry monopolized my time, but it paid off in the end. Next week is the beginning of another semester and I'm looking forward to rocking Biochem.

I'll also start a new job next week. I'm very excited about that. I'll be working for a non-profit in St. Paul. Due to the sensitive nature of it, I won't go into the details here. Ask me about it sometime, though!

I've been itching for some snow! I'd like to get out on some snowshoes or do some winter camping now that my knee is on the mend. Well, even though there isn't any snow, there is still ice!

Last night Joe, Matt and I took a trip to a local ice climbing spot know as "the Brickyards." There are some sandstone cliffs there where water seeps out and forms large vertical columns of ice. We had a good time climbing with our headlamps on and the St. Paul skyline lit-up behind us.
